Verify a Package of Measures in One Project
Option C projects are no longer limited to a single improvement. Attach several
energy conservation measures to one project, mark one as the primary measure,
and verify the package together — which is how most retrofits actually
happen. Measures you’ve recorded before can be attached to a new project
rather than re-entered, and a saved project can now be reloaded, updated in
place, or cleared for a fresh analysis.
Use Your Own Data to Explain Consumption
Weather isn’t always what drives a building. Any monthly figure you track
as a KPI — production volume, occupancy, operating hours — can now
serve as the independent variable in an Option C analysis, on its own or blended
with temperature. For buildings with heavy plug loads or steady internal gains,
this is often the difference between a model that qualifies and one that
doesn’t.
More Accurate Carbon Figures
We corrected how natural gas emissions are calculated: the factor is applied per
MCF rather than per cubic foot, and the therms conversion was fixed. Separately,
peak demand is no longer counted as energy in combined BTU totals, and site-level
emissions factors now resolve reliably so your regional mappings apply as
intended. Each carbon factor also names the eGRID data year behind it, so you can
cite your source.
Your carbon figures may have shifted. These corrections change the numbers — a report you exported earlier in the year may not match one you export now. The current figures are the correct ones. Rank Sites by Carbon and Demand
Comparisons can now rank and sort your portfolio by carbon and by peak demand,
alongside cost and usage. Useful when the question isn’t “where are
we spending the most” but “where are we emitting the most” or
“which site is driving our demand charges.”
Equipment Graphics Without Leaving Huckleberry
Each piece of equipment now opens its own controls graphic from your building
system, displayed over the page rather than buried in a table, and titled with
the equipment it belongs to. Graphic links appear as soon as they resolve, and
you’ll see a notice while a graphic loads instead of wondering whether the
click registered. Reconnecting after a dropped session is more reliable, so a
stale login no longer leaves you locked out of your own station.
A Searchable Fault Dictionary
The Rules page is now a reference you can actually use: search your faults by
name and see what each severity level means. When an alert arrives, looking up
what it signifies no longer means asking someone.
Site Surveys
Each site profile now has a Survey tab for capturing building details —
the characteristics that describe how a facility is built and operated. Keeping
that information beside the site rather than in a spreadsheet makes it available
wherever it’s needed.
Faster Invoice Lists
Bill lists are now grouped and paged much more efficiently, so large portfolios
load quickly instead of straining under a full year of invoices. Utility Entry
also fetches only the bills it needs, which makes the manual entry screens
noticeably quicker to open.
Improvements to Manual Bill Entry
The manual invoice wizard now asks for billing details before itemized charges,
so charge periods are filled in from the bill you just entered rather than typed
twice. Uploaded invoice files are also stored more durably.
Reports for Building Owners
Report distribution now supports sending performance summaries to building
owners, so the people who need the numbers receive them directly.
Clearer Language About M&V Compliance
The Option C glossary and exported reports now state plainly what Huckleberry
checks: the baseline CV(RMSE) limit from ASHRAE Guideline 14. That limit is one
requirement of the whole-building compliance path, not the whole of it —
the path also calls for a continuous twelve-month baseline and several other
conditions that are yours to confirm. If you use these reports for incentive
claims, the wording now tells you exactly where the automated check stops. See

Polish and Reliability
The performance dashboard shows a loading skeleton instead of an empty page while
data arrives. Chart colors, dates, sort controls, filter labels and export
buttons were made consistent across the portal. Site card images render sharply,
facility lists page correctly, and equipment edit forms load real values rather
than table placeholders. Behind the scenes, equipment data collection from large
building systems is faster and more targeted.
